The Boker Plus Cataclyst 42 convinces as a combination of a modern EDC and a high-quality gentleman's accessory also as a slipjoint knife all along the line. In this version, the blade also opens easily via a flipper, does not lock when open, but is merely held securely in position by a detent ball. With appropriate pressure on the back of the blade, the blade can be folded without releasing a locking device.
To ensure that no doubts arise when carrying the Cataclyst 42, we have explicitly had a declaratory notice drawn up for the legal weapons classification of a knife supplied with a ball holder for the blade. The BKA (declaratory ruling Z-524) shares our view that the blade holder with the aid of the detent ball does not constitute a locking device within the meaning of the Weapons Act: "The ball holder of the blade installed here, which releases even with light finger pressure on the back of the blade, does not meet the criteria of a manual locking device."
The sturdy blade of satin-finished 440C has a flat grind and a groove on both sides. The jimpings in the area of the thumb rest and on the spacer also increase work safety. The straight-lined design is supplied with textured handle scales made of black G10, which are milled three-dimensionally and have weight-reducing recesses on the inside. Supplied with a deep-carry clip (tip-up/r).
