The American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of the Japanese Kihon with the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC. The term originally encompasses the fundamentals and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley translates down-to-earth in the solid everyday knife. Features and the straightforward design are evidence of a high level of practicability and give the knife with the decisive price-performance advantage an ideal basis for everyday cutting tasks. The satin-finished drop-point blade made of D2 opens velvety smooth via the removable thumb stud thanks to the ball bearing, whereas the slide lock of the crossbar lock guarantees intuitive, safe and practical unlocking of the knife. The non-slip handle with textured squares is made of high-strength GFN and fits comfortably in the hand. Orange anodised rings around the blade axle screw and the large handle screw give the Kihon a fine touch. Supplied with a lanyard hole and a convertible tip-up wire clip for flexible carrying options.
